Maryhaven Living the Mission Award
The Living the Mission Award is given to one Maryhaven employee each month who exhibits living, furthering, promoting and embodying our mission of, Enriching the Lives of People with Special Needs.
This Months Living the Mission Award Winner
Kim Conway's dedication and leadership at Maryhaven have truly shone through, especially with her recent recognition as the recipient of the May Mission Award. This past year, she faced the formidable challenge of temporarily relocating nine individuals while their home at Lower Rocky Point IRA underwent renovations.
Despite the difficulties associated with such a significant transition, Kim prioritized the safety and well-being of each individual. She anticipated potential stressors that the residents might face during this period and ensured that her staff were well-prepared and alert to provide the necessary support.
Her genuine care for the happiness of those she serves was evident as she guided them through this transition, making sure they felt secure and supported. Kim's efforts have paved the way for a smooth return to their newly renovated and beautiful home, reflecting her commitment to enhancing the quality of life for each individual at Maryhaven.Now she continues with making sure to make the house truly a home for each of them. Great work Kim!

PURPOSE:
To recognize and honor a staff ember each month for excellent job performance/skills and for superior care/interaction with the people we support.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?:
The Living the Mission Award is open to all regular Maryhaven employees who meet the criteria listed below.
CRITERIA:
- Champions the Maryhaven mission of, Enriching the Lives of People with Special Needs.
- Embodies Maryhaven values of respect, dignity, growth, diversity, compassion, enrichment, encouragement and excellence.
- Works in collaboration with others to serve and journey with the people we support.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?: To nominate an employee, please email Sister Catherine Smith, Pastoral Care, at CSmith@maryhaven.org to receive the form.
* Please Note: The Living the Mission Award began in March of 2023. Nominees are selected from a small committee who reviews them and then the final choice is given to our Executive Director, Charles Vanek, for approval. Please contact Sister Cathy if you have any questions regarding this award.
