Annually Maryhaven supports more than 700 people living with some form of disability whom the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities supports. These community members face unique daily challenges, from physical limitations to social stigmas. Despite these obstacles, they are some of the most resilient, inspiring, and determined people you will ever meet.
Unfortunately, we are at a time where funding from New York State does not adequately support the resources they need to live their best lives for life. This is where your support becomes vital to our work at Maryhaven.
Today we humbly come to ask that you consider donating the cost of one cup of coffee per day. Coffee costs about $8 a pound, which is about 26 small cups of coffee. So that is about 30 cents a cup. If you give the cost of one cup of coffee per day, you will donate approximately $100 for a year. One cup of coffee can and will mean so much.
The cost of this daily cup of coffee can and will ensure that people living with disabilities receive the care, services, and opportunities they deserve. But your donation does more than provide these essential resources; it sends a powerful message to people living with disabilities, letting them know that they are valued, respected, and included members of our community.
